For this kitchen, the objective was to create a dialogue between expressive stone, warm oak cabinetry, and exposed stainless steel appliances, allowing each material to contribute its own character to the room.
Modenza guided the project from early design decisions through final installation, integrating the cabinetry, stone surfaces, and tile work into a cohesive whole.

Materials
Material decisions were guided as much by longevity as by appearance.
Stone, oak, and stainless steel develop a richer character through use rather than losing relevance with age.
Function
The kitchen was planned around the rituals of cooking, allowing preparation, cooking, and gathering to flow naturally through the space.
Appliances, cabinetry, and work surfaces were positioned to support these movements while remaining as a part of the larger composition of the room.
Craft
Panel spacing, appliance integration, and surface proportions are considered together, so every line and junction feels intentional.
Living
The kitchen takes its shape from the way it is used.
The height and depth of the cabinetry, the reach of storage, the placement of work surfaces, and the space around the island were all shaped around the movements that take place here each day.
